After my french LIEBSTER AWARD, here is my second nomination… but in English ! And this time I’ve been nominated by Virginie from Travel with my Kids. Here are the rules :

11 things about me:

1. I’m a travel blogger but I’m really bad at geography.
2. I choose the hotels I’m going to according to … their bathtub! I love bathtubs !
3. I can not stand the smell of curry (no trip to India planned!)
4. I collect keep all my plastic bags. I have a drawer filled of bag, just in case …
5. When I go to a restaurant I happen to choose a dish because I think it will make good picture, not because I like it.
6. The sound of the teeth on a fork disgusts me.
7. I put some cinnamon, like a lot, in my latte.
8. I have never seen any Star Wars movies in my life and I have no problem with that.
9. I’m on the 9GAG app every night before going to bed. Really every night.
10. I’m a fan of corgis videos. I love corgis * heart with fingers*.
11. I’ve never driven a car in the USA.

I am thrilled to accept this nomination and answer the 11 questions from Travel-with-my-kids :

1. Where are you born and where are you living now ? I’m French ! I was born in the south East part of France (Ardèche !) and now I live in San Francisco with my husband. Living the american dream…well kind of !
2. Tree words describing yourself: Dreamer, travel-obsessed
3. What is specific about your blog, in a few words? When I first start blogging, my blog was mostly designed for photographies. Then I changed the design, wrote some article but i still focus on my photos. As I’m a French expat, I also use my site as a travel blog and share some tips about expatriation for my fellow friends.
4. What is your favorite blog post on your site? Maybe my post about Zion National Park, we had a great time here and I like the pictures I took in this beautiful place.
5. What is the longest time you’ve been traveling non-stop, and where? Was it with kids in toe?
   We don’t have a lot of days off in the United States, so we usually don’t stay more than two weeks per destination. Once I took one month to see my family in France. And we don’t have kids !
6. Are you more flip-flops or “snow boots” ? Hard choice… I love both of them ! But I’m really sensitive to the cold so I will say flip-flops, beach and sun ! And I recently bought a new pair of flip-flops in Rio de Janeiro 😉
7. Plane, bus, bike, tuk-tuk, train, boat: what’s your favorite mode of transportation? and what about your kids (if concerned)? Plane ! It’s the easiest way for long trip.
8. What was your biggest “low” moment during your travels? Usually when I travel from San Francisco to France, we sometimes have to deal with big delay and it’s really stressfull when you have another plan + train which will not wait for you and your family. Also after 10 hours of travel, you are really tired and can freak out at anytime.
9. Which country has surprised you in a positive way? Mexico for sure ! We all, european people, have a bad image of this country (and south america in general) mostly because of violence, insecurity,… But we went to the Yucatan and it was a lovely destination.
10. What is you favorite travel memory ? Tulum ! The most beautiful place I ever been. I wish I could live here.
11. What is the number one travel on top of your bucket list? To be honest with you, I have a huge bucket list (I’m a true travel blogger !)…But we are planning our next travel for this summer : The Bahamas with Pig Beach. It’s a small island full of wild swimming pigs in a turquoise water. Can’t wait to get there !
