Located between Valladolid and Merida, Chichen Itza is one of Mexico’s most popular tourist destination and perhaps the largest mayan site (at least the most famous!) of the world.
This archeological site has also been awarded as one of the new 7 wonders of the world, and honestly, it deserves this price!
Come early if you want to enjoy a “quiet” visit. By quiet I actually mean without a bunch of tourists on your photos cruising around the main attraction: El Castillo. Additionaly, the weather is cooler early morning and it’s appreciable if you don’t want to be running with sweat during your tour.
Cenotes are a must stop when you are on vacation in Yucatan. After our Chichen Itza tour, we headed to Tulum and made a stop at Samula, located in Dzitnup, a few kilometers southeast of Valladolid.
It was a refreshing break after a hot morning at the archaeologic site : Cold crystal clear water… and black catfish!
The following pictures have been taken with my gopro/iphone. Sorry for bad quality!

Coucou!
